Watercolor: Tips, Tricks & Tactics
A 5-week course at the Oregon Society of Artists
Watercolor may be tricky, but we know some tricks! In this course, you will learn tips, tricks, and tactics for working with watercolor with greater success. Including:
• Tips for creating the colors you crave;
• Tricks for using your watercolor tools in new and different ways; and
• Tactics for adding texture, lettering, and details to your paintings.

Beginner/Intermediate, Ages 18 year+
What you will learn
Whether you are new to watercolor or have worked with it before, this fun and practical course will help you make friends with watercolor again.
Week 1: Color theory for watercolor and how to mix colors without muddying your painting
Week 2: How to use ordinary household materials to create texture
Week 3: Three different methods for transferring a design to watercolor paper without drawing
Week 4: How to incorporate ink and liquid watercolors to achieve a broader range of colors and values
Week 5: How to prep your painting for scanning, printing, or gifting.

Who can take this workshop?
This workshop is held at the Oregon Society of Artists in Portland. OSA members receive a discount to this workshop, but it is open to anyone. Skill level is beginner to intermediate.
A supply list will be provided prior to the beginning of class.
Cost & Registration
Cost: This 5-week course is $300 ($275 for OSA members).
