You’ll learn how to paint beautiful transparent layers, create realistic leaf textures with a sprinkle of salt (yes, salt!), and finish your piece with unique details using a waterproof pen.
By the end, you’ll walk away with a lovely leaf painting and the confidence to keep experimenting with this fluid and flexible medium. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to dip their brush into something new!

What you will learn
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
1. Paint transparent layers with watercolor
2. Create realistic texture on your leaf with table salt
3. Add your own details with a waterproof pen
Supplies
Please bring:
- One portable water brush (such as Pentel medium) 
- Basic watercolor paint set (such as Prang student set) 
- Student-grade watercolor paper, at least 3 sheets) (such as Canson XL, 9”x12”) 
- Pigment-based drawing pen – Optional (such as Micron pen size .3) 
Instructor will provide:
- Paintable leaf templates on watercolor paper
